caning and coffee.

Thursday, July 8 2010 8:08pm
Okey-dokey.
This is what I learned how to do on Wednesday.
Started around 11am...needed to brew some coffee by 11:30. Heh heh.
Tuesday night was kinda late, considering I let myself read and read and read more of the current Siri Mitchell book I was into.
Pliers are involved. :)
Tiny little pliers.

Click on 'em, and these'll get huger so you can see more details...
Diagonal one way, then the other....it was quite interesting. :)
And dangit, if there isn't something under my "g" key...
Yep, so we nearly finished it... and then I went in and looked at a House Beautiful library magazine.
Hmm.
We're not completely done with the caning though...the edge needs to look something like this:
See that edge? The straight line?
That's something like what we're going to try to achieve.
I've primed probably...oh, let me count and be accurate...
7 canvases of different sizes. Today. Yes. Another coat, and they'll be ready to work with.
Interesting.

Three things tell a man: his eyes, his friends and his favorite quotes.

Of course, that's not all there is to it... but it's interesting nonetheless.
That's all for now. I've got some funny pictures from today...and fb isn't letting my download any videos at the moment, so that's kind of annoying. :)

"You is a painty-arter." -Little David, [a 5yo distant cousin] to me after I showed him this picture and I told him I painted that "box." :)
