nannying and romans 8.

Okay y'all, can you see my sad face when I type this??
:my camera's battery cover thingy is broken off and missing.
Meaning: no pictures. At all. Lately.
So now that we're past that bad news, I guess I could take this opportunity and post a painting sometime. Heh.

[Anna, Sammi, Reese....September 2010]
So you know those cute children Anna nannies next door a few days a week.....since she's gone, obviously, I got to take over. Yesterday and today. 8am-4pm. Today was even better than yesterday, I think.

Seriously, it's been a wonderful day.
No sarcasm there....
We played.
Ate breakfast.
Got dressed.
Played more.
Ate lunch: mac-n-cheese.
Reese fell asleep on me listening to My Immortal by Evanescence...
During his nice long nap I had a fascinating conversation with Sammi while eating cheerios.
Watched Nemo...
Walked uptown with Lyd and them to get coffee. We only have 1 coffee pot's worth left of beans left in the house. Ay yi yi! Good thing co-op comes Monday....2lb bags of whole bean, dark roast...Heck yes:)
Pushed swings at the park for a while.
Laughing children:)
Sweetness. Talk about a gorgeous afternoon. :)
Tomorrow we leave in the morning some time....to head up north where Anna has been for a week.
:)
Funny thing is, since the beginning of this week, I've nearly gotten used to her being gone... Random short little cell phone calls once in a while... Just....yeah. And of course she doesn't miss me. Heh. It's too much fun with 3 kids and a newborn, plus interesting convo's with people we only get to see once or twice a year.
Me? Ohhhh...I was only jealous for the first day or two, if I want to admit it. --but with happiness for her presiding as the main.
After that I got used to it.
Hah.
Sigh. I have to pack.
Bang goes that idea of posting a painting....
Sorry!

Seeing as how I sometimes have issues with time management, and the result of that has been me, empty and slightly lost and floating this week.... I decided to remind myself of a few things. Read something that would benefit.....Keep the t.v. off for a long time....
I read Romans 8 out loud to the children earlier...while Sam played with random stuffed animals and Reese flung a doll to the ground, playing fetch with himself. It goes on and on.
Boys are weird.
And the words "be careful" don't mean anything to them.
Hah. That's something solid that these two days have taught me.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

   "For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered."

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am sure that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor rulers,
nor things present nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
[Romans 8:31-39]

Toodles.
:)
Methinks.....I'll....see y'all sometime next week.

Oh boys are so weird!! Trust me, I have two of em! But I think it's great that you shut the television off and read them something of substance, something that they can use :)
