eternally grateful. ....hehe, i guess;)

Okey-dokey. Artichokey.
Today I was completely off the computer. Except for burning someone a CD, who didn't show up anyways, and for posting this:

"1How lonely sits the city that was full of people! . . . She weeps bitterly in the night, with tears on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her. . .  2O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for Your own sake, O Lord, make Your face shine upon Your sanctuary, which is desolate. . . 3Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and dwell in your midst, declares the Lord."
1: Lamentations 1:1a & 2a
2: Daniel 9:17
3: Zechariah 2:10
I was reading my Bible this morning, and that first part from Lamentations has always been something to me. Like, we chase after so many things, confirmation, happiness, success, highs of all sorts, and in the end we're just . . . empty. And alone. But not alone. Because there are the people who chase just like us, but we're not alone also because He never forsakes us. And I see that Lamentations verse as a picture of how we are, inside, how we feel, when we're worn out from chasing everything down that we think will do it--fill us, make us feel whole, content, special... you name it.

But anyhow.
I was reading, alright? And these verses all jumped off the pages at me as I turned through; ironically and not coincidentally, all these parts were bookmarked by some sort of object able to play the part, but I haven't read in any of these books for a while, as I've been concentrated on John until I finished.
The second part, from Daniel, just seemed like the next place, the next step up, from the empty, longing place that I got in that part of Lamentations.
And the last part, singing and rejoicing.
When it has been the pits, when we have plead for mercy . . . there is singing in the end.
Today was lovely. I had an hour or two of being in a pit; had a discussion with Anna after throwing a library book . . . testy much? I'm talking to myself here. I had a lovely moment of childishness that I'm trying to nip in the bud. Ha.
And she's better than a shrink. Got that? Not that I know much about shrinks, but they talk things through and maybe sometimes help you find/realize the problem? Well. She's even better, because I don't have to pay greenbacks for it, and she helps get to the solution. Y'all know what I'm talking about. Don't you?
At any rate, I needed mercy today. Big time.

So today has been lovely.
The day was beautiful, Eliyah was so sweet, and something very special happened.
The other day we ran out of coffee. Well, not really. We never really run out. I still had a box of Gevalia brand from that sweet lady at church, as backup. Haha.
But today . . . today, Justin gave us this, quite randomly:
Mhmmm. When we were saying thank you, Anna told him "Beka is eternally grateful!"
Sheesh. Crack me up;)
"Hey, we just ran out of coffee the other day," I told him.
"I know," he said.
And that's why we love Justin and Sarah and little Eliyah. ;)
No, we loves them anyhow--they're like an adopted older brother and sister, and wow. I'm already an aunt. Haha.
Thank you, thank you:) Thanks again, dears.
See? Doesn't God have a wonderful sense of humor? He always provides... ;)
I can't wait to try it tomorrow. :) I'll let ya know how much I love it, and there will be pictures. Of the whole process. But I won't torture y'all with those. 'Kay?
Ha, today at church when I brewed some of my precious last coffee (at the moment, anyways--the Gevalia stuff) the lady who gave it to me came into the kitchen, and there I am, with my camera out, turning off the flash to take a picture of it in the funky weird cup.
See?
We don't have one like that at home. And I use milk at home. Not half-and-half. So it looks a bit different...and though we've talked about good coffee and how much we love it before, she looked at me and agreed that I was obsessed.
Ha.
It rained the smallest bit today:
That's what was in the sky afterward.
This one I took before Anna, Rach and I headed off for church...around 8:20am . . . .
Life is beautiful.

I love this! At church this morning the sermon pretty much focused on what you were just saying. Must be something we all need to hear...or just me:) Either way I'm thankful you wrote it and I'm sure I'll be back to re-read it again when I need to hear it!

I love Starbucks coffee! None for me this morning, turns out our water pipe broke... :( Should be fixed in a few hours, though.
I also love your post. I like how "random" you are sometimes (reminds me of.... ME! :)
Keep it up and have a blessed day!
