cinnamon bread: ♥

on the 5th, i finally made that cinnamon bread recipe danielle posted.
:)
caleb and lyd are working on a tunnel/snow fort thing. pretty cool:)

so, i'm suggesting you all go off and make this recipe asap. it's a quick bread, so no yeast and all that complicated kitchen stuff some of us humans are afraid to deal with.
ingredients:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk, soured with 2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour

directions:
mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together and set aside. mix butter and sugar together, add eggs. then add sour milk and vanilla. combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda together; add to first mixture. pour half of the batter into a loaf pan . sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture, swirl in with a fork, pour remaining batter and stir remaining cinnamon and sugar in with a fork. bake @ 350 for about an hour.
original post here at take heart blog by the lovely danielle.
i made a double batch of it, because where would only one pan of this get me? um. no where.
ahhh...brown sugar. i just love it:)

pretty colored eggs that we bought from a lady we know...

sunday morning. this was, indeed, my breakfast. the best apple-celery-lemon juice ever, then a bit later, cinnamon bread and coffee. i tell you. what a morning. :)

on the 7th, i made the bread again:)
:) i made extra brown-sugar and cinnamon stuff. because without it, the bread is just....eh.

see what i'm talking about? lovely layers of brown sugar and cinnamon...amazing.
it's like a really good coffee cake. it's amazing. and that's all i have to say:)
....
now i seriously need more hot tea. i woke up with a sore throat. blech.
tea and the rest of that book by allison pittman. that's my night.
hope you're all doing well:)

Mmmmm. This looks warm and delicious.

My brother makes banana bread. I wish he'd make it more often. It's the best stuff ever.
