on the 5th, i finally made that cinnamon bread recipe danielle posted.
:)
caleb and lyd are working on a tunnel/snow fort thing. pretty cool:)
so, i'm suggesting you all go off and make this recipe asap. it's a quick bread, so no yeast and all that complicated kitchen stuff some of us humans are afraid to deal with.
ingredients:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk, soured with 2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
directions:
mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together and set aside. mix butter and sugar together, add eggs. then add sour milk and vanilla. combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda together; add to first mixture. pour half of the batter into a loaf pan . sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture, swirl in with a fork, pour remaining batter and stir remaining cinnamon and sugar in with a fork. bake @ 350 for about an hour.
